Cabernet Review

Cabernet is an ambitious, narrative-driven RPG that blends classic vampire mythology with the emotional weight of addiction, isolation, and moral compromise. Set in a richly imagined 19th-century Eastern European-inspired world, it tells a story of personal transformation, temptation, and the constant struggle between humanity and hunger. Despite a number of technical missteps, Cabernet delivers an experience that is both thematically bold and mechanically thoughtful.

System Shock 2 Remastered Review

System Shock 2 stands as one of the most influential immersive sims ever made, blending first-person shooter mechanics with RPG elements and a deep, unsettling sci-fi horror narrative. Over two decades since its original 1999 release, Nightdive Studios has taken on the ambitious task of remastering this classic for its 25th anniversary. The goal was to modernize the experience for contemporary audiences while preserving the core atmosphere and gameplay that made it a cult favorite.

After extensive time with the PC version, I can confidently say that the System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster strikes a commendable balance between nostalgia and modernization — although some rough edges remain.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Review

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a rare breed in modern RPGs. It’s unapologetically grounded, deeply immersive, and painstakingly detailed. Where most games chase fantasy and spectacle, Deliverance II embraces realism—warts and all. The result is a rich, historically authentic experience that rewards patience, planning, and persistence.

Building on the cult success of its predecessor, Warhorse Studios has returned with a larger, more refined sequel that elevates nearly every aspect of the original—while still retaining the heart of what made the series unique.

It reintroduces one of the most thought-provoking titles of the past decade with renewed clarity, technical excellence, and even fresh narrative content.

Broken Arrow Review

Modern military real-time strategy (RTS) games are a rare breed these days. Where once the genre was awash with titles like World in Conflict and Wargame: Red Dragon, recent years have seen a retreat into either high-level grand strategy or stripped-down tactics games. Broken Arrow—from indie developer Steel Balalaika—aims to bridge that gap with a bold vision: large-scale, modern combined-arms warfare powered by deep customization and tactical nuance.

Rematch Review

Following the success of Sifu and Absolver, French studio Sloclap has turned its attention to an unexpected arena: football. But Rematch is anything but traditional. It strips the sport down to its raw, competitive essence—no rules, no refs, no pauses—and rebuilds it as a fast-paced, highly skill-driven 5v5 experience that feels more like Rocket League with human legs than anything resembling FIFA.

With a focus on tight team play, precise controls, and minute-to-minute excitement, Rematch is one of the most ambitious arcade sports titles in recent years. But does it do enough to justify its premium price point in a free-to-play saturated market?

F1 25 Review

With F1 25, Codemasters and EA Sports deliver their most feature-rich and visually advanced Formula 1 title to date. While the game introduces several meaningful improvements—particularly in physics, career depth, and visual fidelity—it stops short of a complete reinvention. For newcomers, it’s a compelling starting point. For returning players, the question is whether these upgrades justify another annual purchase.

Stellar Blade Review

After garnering attention with its console debut, Stellar Blade arrives on PC with graphical enhancements, expanded language support, and a suite of refinements aimed at a broader audience. Developed by Korean studio Shift Up, this action-adventure title aims high, blending cinematic storytelling with flashy, fast-paced combat. While it doesn’t quite escape the long shadow cast by games like Nier: Automata and Bayonetta, it carves out its own identity through strong aesthetics and an energetic core gameplay loop.

Dune: Awakening Review

Dune: Awakening represents a bold step forward for survival MMOs, merging deep resource management with narrative ambition in a setting as unforgiving as it is iconic. Developed by Funcom, the studio behind Conan Exiles, the game offers a new vision of Frank Herbert’s universe—one where Paul Atreides was never born, and the fate of Arrakis hangs in the balance.

Set in an alternate timeline within the Dune mythos, Dune: Awakening invites players to carve their own path across the sands of Arrakis, balancing survival, political intrigue, and emergent multiplayer dynamics. The result is a fascinating, if occasionally uneven, experience that blends narrative-driven RPG elements with a truly punishing survival sandbox.

Developed in partnership with Virtuos, Oblivion Remastered is both a visual and technical overhaul that remains faithful to the spirit of the 2006 classic. The question, then, is whether nostalgia alone is enough to carry it—or if this reimagining stands on its own merits in 2025.
