Hey hey, this is a nice little tweaker Regen!!

I ran it on my computer and cut my bootup time in 1/2 (actually, I think a little faster than that)!! In stead of a minute (from when I see the XP loader screen), it's about 20 seconds now!! Sweetness.....

I did have to turn on a few extra services afterwards, but it's still rockin!!

I'm giving it a try right now.............. Everything seems to be working nice and quick and boot time is also down.

yup, it really is a little overjelous in turning services off, last time i tried the tool it actually gave me longer boot times, quite wierd thing, used to work so wonderful last year, must be some stupi microsoft thingie sceing it over

Could someone explain the meaning of this options in the tweaker? I want to understand in order to use they, or not...

1) NTFS filesystem tweak
2) Turn off windows zip folder
3) Disable distributed DCOM
4) Disable NETBIOS

1) NTFS filesystem tweak
2) Turn off windows zip folder
3) Disable distributed DCOM
4) Disable NETBIOS

1) It disables some old legacy support (Win311/95) but can increase the filesystem performance a bit.

2) Windows ZIP folder feature is kinda old and unless.

3) It had a lot of security issues in the past.

4) Security issues! you can disable it if you don't use folder sharing and local networking.
