Personally, I don't like Vista and not planning upgrading soon. However, if I will have to just for DX10 (without any alternatives), then I will go for it but just for DX10. Unless, We will be able to run DX10 games on XP as well, and then I will stick with XP.

Vista is a huge failure. I lost any interest about a year before release and haven't been interested since.

i think were to early into vista to actually judge but overall from what vista was supposed to be with WINFS ect to what it came out with well yeah its not the same beast but they did rewrite alot of components and it carries several advantages over XP but they also screwd things up while pathing it up if its with the removal of hardware acceleration for DirectSound and DirectSound3D and removal of any game port support as well and so on and on....

i for one have migrated to vista around DEC just cause i was fed up with my current xp installation which came up with an annoying bug i had trouble fixing for good so insted of reinstalling xp and having VISTA in DUAL BOOT like i had its BETA'S i decided to take the leap and overall i aint dissapointed its a good OS having its outside world steps and like a newborn it needs constant upkeep if its drivers and patches and so forth but its far from showing its true colors just yet maybe in a year or so its true potential will be achived my 2 cents....

I am not planning to upgrade to Vista until manufacturers start coming out with much better driver support. And even then i would wait the upgrade until its really worth it.
