#1 | | Site Staff | Which application do you prefer? Today we have a new poll for the ATi users. Do you still hate ATI’s CCC? Or have you changed your mind about it? Do you like our CP version of Catalyst? What about ATi Tray Tools? |

I have NEVER been fond of the new CCC. It seems like a lot of flair without substance.

#4 | | Site Staff | Personally, I prefer the CP because CCC is still too slow. ATi already improved it, but I still don’t like it that much. It’s taking it about ten seconds to launch on my super rig. If it’s working so slow on my rig, I can’t imagine how it’s working on other systems (like Laptops for example).
The first builds of CCC were horrible, but they improved it with the time. Now it’s not that bad like it used to be. But, I don’t like waiting that much just to change some option. I really hope they will revive the CP project or rebuild the CCC. Just for the records, I think CCC is much better then Nvidia’s new control panel. If you will ask me what is the best CP, then I think Nvidia’s old CP is the most easy-to-use, at least on my side. |

#5 | | Newbie | I like to use CCC, purely because of the newly implimented advanced Overdrive sliders and auto max overclocking detection. Does the job pretty well (if i set the same clocks as in CCC, in ATITool my card messes up) |

However, after trying multiple things with my ATIs I've settled down with the CCC. Yes it takes 5-10 seconds to start and it requires like 3 processes running in the background. Yet it does allow me to easilly set my video card's clocks and control the other features. So I've decided to accept it.
In comparison I've had issues with the CP and ATT, at least with an X1800XT. Your X800GTO2 works perfectly with any set of drivers but the CCCs! (deep sigh!) Eventually I reached burnout several weeks ago. I uninstalled all my games and am getting ready for classes to start again. So, even though I will continue to haunt these pages daily, I may not even worry about installing new drivers for a while. |

#10 | | Newbie | | PSU: Enermax Whisper 431w | | I use the CP with ATITool. Just haven't taken the time to learn AtiTrayTool.
Never installed the CCC. Just seemed to be something that would use memory to run, and I've always been trying to have less running in the backround, not adding more...
Later....
