When Intel started making Pentium 4 they totally lost it, Pentium III is in my opinion the best
processor Intel has made to date, is Conroe the next Pentium III? time will show...

Or would you answer, 'Never have I heard anything more divine?"

I wold like to se some Hyper Treading but, the new architecture (from centrino to present) isn't capable to handle the instructions properly
also they had problems implementing EM64T a.k.a. x86-64

That’s not correct. The real reason for Intel to stop working hard on the Desktop platforms is because of the huge sales they make from mobiles. They focused on Mobile because they made a lot of sales and they choose it for economic reasons. Their current technology is not that bad and all the games and applications can use it without any problems. Only now, after they made a lot of sales from their mobile CPUs, there are real reasons to upgrade. That’s what Conroe is all about! Look at AMD for example, they released AM2 and DDR2 is not a real reason to upgrade.
