#22 | | Newbie | All you need is Love... | | Some people are saying that they need money or hardware more than love. This upsets me. They are saying that they love money or hardware more than love.
That doesn't make any sense to me, because you can't love something more than love. It's like saying I drive cars more than I drive cars, or I eat food more than I eat food.
The people who said they need money or hardware said it because they love money or hardware. What you're saying is that you need the things that you love. And if you need the things that you love, you need love.
Now I suspect what has happened in some cases is that some people might have gotten love confused with sex. Let me tell you that they are very different things, and if you see the word "love" and instantly think it refers to "sex", I'd suggest you stop looking at those websites and watching those videos. Yes, you know the ones I mean.
So in future when asked what you need most, think carefully about what you say if one of the options covers how you feel about the other options. There's no shame in loving your PC or money (remember we're not getting love confused with sex still...) so just admit to yourself that these are things that you love, and you need them. You need love.
And for those people who said they need nothing, I can think of three possibilities...
1) They are sad, lonely, depressed people with no faith in anything and are ironically the ones who need love the most
2) They already have all of the other three things (money, hardware and love)
3) They are confused about the meaning of the word "nothing" and mistook it for another word which means something cool, and if this is the case, what are they doing posting on an English-speaking forum when they can't speak English? |

#27 | | Advanced Member | I voted for "hardware". I really like hardware and I always want to have the newest hardware on the market. For that, you need of course money, but anyway I voted for HW.
TOO BAD we cannot select them ALL!!! (Money, HW, Love)
I guess if you have money you can afford new hardware, but if you have love (wife?) you don't have money neither new hardware. |
