So, what is your first impression of Windows 10?

If you're confused - Windows 10 is Windows 9 - an epic troll job by Microsoft.

I'm happy in the sense that metro's stench seems to have been most cleared away but I really hate that flat UI style, is so lazy and ugly I hope they change it.

It's still too far out to call but so far it seems to be on the right track.

I tried Windows 10 last night on VM. Felt like Windows 8.1 with a Start menu. Somehow disappointing.

I have similar impressions, windows 8.1 update 2 would be better fitting name for this OS.
But i like some of new features and some of these features need some polishing.

Borderless windows look horrible or at least weird and annoying.

Virtual desktops need some better solution for switching between them.

I like search feature placed at task bar, it is much better than windows search which was in windows xp. Not the most needed thing in the world but i like that they decided to improve it.

New start menu... i do not even care, i usually search programs by typing their names or running from shortcuts, or directly from .exe files.

All drivers dedicated for windows 8.1 installed without problems. GPU (amd catalyst 14.9 on r7 260x), soundcard (creative x-fi titanium) and mouse (zalman zm-g3).

So, I'm guessing Microsoft found this poll and spammed 3600 votes into "Awesome"

And Apple spammed 1300 votes into What and It Sucks...

Or perhaps people voted. Not that I voted awesome, afterall it is just w8.1 with a new label and a work in progress start menu / tasking / multi-desktops.

I might get more excited by real under the bonnet improvements than fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror to fool "stuck on w7" knob ends.

I could be wrong but I don't recall a poll ever getting that many votes on here so seems a bit fishy.
