The only reason I would upgrade is because it seems more stable, they made UAC less annoying, and it seems to run a bit faster. Honestly, which is BS considering they should have done this to vista in another Service Pack. But being they desperately wanted to get away from vistas bad reputation, they decided to make another OS.

Some people say yeah well its not uncommon to release a new OS every few years. And its not unless you are microcrap and release a bad OS. And instead of fixing it, they just release a new one. Same thing with Windows ME and XP.

service packs can't overhaul the kernel in the way that was required.

I haven't been this eager for a Windows Update since Windows 98. I skipped XP for a couple years and waited to do Vista for about a year.

Using Windows 7 x64 since January, I'm really impressed. The long public beta I think is going to pay off big time.

The pricing is awful, considering all the hype it has they could sell a lot more if they priced more aggressively. The OS for Macs is a lot cheaper when compared to 7.

I want to wait until I get all of the feedback from people who have tried windows 7 for about a year just to make sure everything is stable, and compatibility with older software, and peripherals such as my printer, webcam, etc. Older games must be compatable, such as the first mafia game. I will eventually upgrade to windows 7. There is no reason for me to install windows yet. What the fu** microsoft vista just came out on january 30(i think) in 2007. The prices are ridiculous, i agree with "krasno". but then again it does seem stable. Well anyway I can play crysis on very high(all settings) on 1080p, v-sync on, and 2x aa, it plays just stable enough to play, 18-22 frames.
