Not planning of getting a CPU upgrade for a LONG while. I think my system is fine for now. Maybe add some more RAM or upgrade the graphics card if games and applications that will come out don't play at a level that I consider OK.

I'm still using a older LG Flatron ez T910BU monitor and the colors are very slowly starting to fade. I was thinking of getting the Apple LED HD Cinema Display (best colors I've seen so far), but the fact that it uses a Mini DisplayPort connector and that I can't plug it in my PC will prevent me from doing that purchase. I might be looking at a Samsung or LG monitor for later.
I also need a better pair of headphones. I've started to really devellop my audiophile side since I got my new iPod Classic 120Gb and my Zalman 5.1 headphones just don't cut it in terms of sound quality anymore (sound is garbled when there are lots of lows and highs playing at the same time). I have a couple of brands I'm looking into, such as Bose, Sennheiser, AKG, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamic and Shure.

#13 | | Professional Member | | CPU: Intel i7 920@ 4.0 TRUE | | | RAM: OCZ 6GB DDR3 1900mhz | | | PSU: Thermaltake TP 1200W | | I already have one Q9450 in my HTPC and a i7 920 in my game/office pc. So next upgrade is maybe a i9 for my i7 machine and move my i7 to the HTPC?? Only problem with that move is, can I get the temps on the i7 down to acceptable levels with the smaller coolers available for HTPC systems?? Noctua c12p should do the job I think?

If you mostly game and do some video editing stuff here and there, a quad over 3.2 GHz is more then enough. I mean, the only title that stresses my CPU is GTAIV while the other games have a smooth ride, with the exception of some retarded console ports that are still single core.
