Daul 88OOGTS G92, at the time of purchase the ATI cards just did not cut it and I couldn't wait any longer. Had to move to intel for the same reason. But that was 18 months ago, not sure I would make the same choice's now.

With the prices of ATI cards lately I'm so tempted to get a second 4870. But because my last use of that card led to frustrating calls to ATI concerning their driver... I just can't bring myself to try it!

Well I tried it... and now it works fine! Both displays come up every time. So it must have been a registry setting that was causing the problems. Even though I under the impression that Driver Sweeper was supposed to "clean out" those registry settings....

In any case I now think I'll strongly consider getting a second 4870. Even though I should probably wait until the new DX11 cards come out.

Got a 4850 and a 4890 and no complaints at all here, havn't found a game that gives any kind of driver flaw. Nor any game that shows any sign of frame rate issues at 1920*1200*32*4xAA, and tried quite a few of the current generation new releases.

The 4890 also seems to clock easily above its default values giving it a good potential to last that extra 6 months/year etc. when games become more taxing. However you seem to have a 275, which is fairly similar performance wise, so not sure why you would want to?

My card is in my sig. I had a 4870 512mb, but overheated due to a fan problem, Gigabyte replaced it with a 1gb model. Didn't like the cooling much so I upgraded it.
