how many years will HAVOC REQUIRE TO BE ADOPTED BY DEVELOPERS?
YOU ARE FORGETTING THAT THE LIST OF PHYSX AND AGEIA TITLES IS HUGE!
OR YOU ARE SO NAIVE THAT YOU THINK THAT THERE WILL BE A PORT BETWEEN HAVOC AND THE EXISTING GAMES (with physx) to work together?

You are forgetting that caps are lame and make you look like a angry kid.

You are forgetting that the list of physx titles is tiny and insignificant.

You are forgetting that havoc is much easier to develop on and much better implemented so I foresee developers jumping ship to havoc very quickly

You are forgetting that no one will bother porting this small insignificant ammout of physx capable games to work with havoc because no one cares and physx makes almost no difference in the games.

that game blows, theres almost no physics in it,

and second Havok is the better choice,

PhysX is a crappy software run mod, that has horrible performance hits for things that Havok has done better, and will less performance hit

From what little I've read/know Havok sounds really cool...first off it is going to be truly open working through opencl...also read that it is going to be able to load balance the physics between gpu and cpu...think that will be a great feature and help to eliminate fps drop....you can't call me biased as I've got an ageia ppu in my ati system... but physx is coming to a close......as closed as physx itself.

what does 4870 has to do with physx since ATi has no official support for it
also, havoc was used in games way before physx

After having it for a while now I guess its ok but..."blah" - and thats coming from a fanboy.

The thing is , its quite cool technology and its also nice to have something that other GPU users don't have - thats about it!

I was quite excited when Nvidia first took over but lets face it, its not really critical to enjoy good games is it? And I dont see many people wetting their pants in excitement..
