Opera and chrome lacks something that I really like on firefox.... Plugins! (especially noscript + adblock)
And there is 1 more browser missing in the poll, Epiphany (the gnome web browser). It looks like firefox, but it lacks many features. http://www.gnome.org/projects/epiphany/ | xiaomhome One question , Whats the point of using so many browser ???? its real question mate.

#12 | | Professional Member | I dont always have an option so I pick the best for "that" situation:
Browsing in favorite sites that require passwords: Firefox (Its more secure (noscript), and firefox always remember to fill the fields)
Browsing sites that uses flash: Opera (I use 64 bit operating systems and opera 64 bits has a special flash wrapper that doesnt require much 32bit libs)
Browsing files: Konqueror (Its good because you can browse your files while you can open some websites)
Using a server or a PC like a proxy (or fast searches): Links (its a web browser for console, it doesnt require X11 libs and is pretty simple) - its also good for installing some system like gentoo or arch linux with a minimal installation cd
Browsing in Windows without Internet Explorer or Opera : Chrome (Simple, go there somewhat fast and its not Internet Explorer)
Downloading microsft updates for windows XP: Internet Explorer. |

#20 | | Master of Disaster | | CPU: Phenom II x3 720 @ 3.4 | | Honestly Opera has just about the same functionality then Firefox, its actually more feature rich out of the box then firefox is, it does nhave alot extentions, called 'widgets' that vary from games to utilities.
The only reason I didnt switch to opera is because there are a few features that FF has that i cant live without, Opera has built in gestures but they dont function quite as well as Firegestures do, like i used the zoom in on an image feature by draging up over a image with FF frequently because of my eyes, Opera only supports this by enlarging the whole page which i find annoying, also the search function, FF opens i nthe bottom of the screen, its very fast to find something, opera you gotta open up the stupid search dialog which i cant stand.
thoes couple things and a few others are the only reason i stick to FF, i find Opera actually has more to offer then FF in many ways, I just dont like the way it does certain things |
