I stubbornly (?) support the underdog (AMD/ATi). Intel makes good products, I must admit, but my philosophy of purchase forbids me to do as such. And, quite honestly, I think this is the only way to prevent monopolies in the world.

@ IModIntel: I'm really worried about the possibility of a big Intel / Nvidia monopoly. Monopolies are pretty much the fastest way to phase out the desire or need to give a crap about the customer.

Thank you for your comprehension. Glad to see some people think like me.

Oh and, btw, anybody calling a fanboy of ATi and AMD is right, but there is a distinction to be made. I'm not a fanboy, I am a consumer with a market consciouness.

Yeah but each time you see a crappy product, you either: shout its name; shout some unintelligible gibberish; make some high pitched noise that mimics someone getting butt plugged . This also includes bitches, cars, and people who are full of themselves.

...

Geeeeeeeeooooooooo!!!

I've never bought an AMD CPU system, but I've had some given to me. I've also never bought an NV video card...although I've had a few drop into my lap.

I've found that Intel and ATI have been very dependable products for me over the many years. So, I stick with what works well for me

EDIT: BTW, I didn't vote, either. The term 'fanboy' just conjures up too much of an impression of blind trust. That doesn't fit the ticket for me.

AND, I still wish AMD hadn't messed with ATI. They should still be separate companies IMHO.
