Smile No problemas Aqui!

No problems here!

I bought a Gateway Desktop computer in April ( i think) this year and it has been going on strong! No hardware failures , yet.... And it better not have any the next couple of years, noting that i paid 1000$ bucks on it! If it knows what good for it

But , so far- i have added the following hardware to the defualt configuraiton:

500w Coolmax Power Supply
20xDVD Philips SATA Drive (GREAT burns)
HIS Radeon HD 2600PRO (works wonderfully for Video)
1 Stick of 1GB of RAM
SoundBlaster Audigy SE (any one have a good replacement item? That has stereomix ?)

It has been working awesomely- so far- so I would recommend , i suppose, Gateway for their computers- so far.

I love my new computer.... As long as it keeps up with me for the next of couple of years... Otherwise- I"LL DIVORCE YOU!

-Edward

My computers are fine!

Especially now that I have an Xbox 360 to game with... well, truthfully I'm having trouble getting used to the controller. I much prefer a keyboard and mouse for FPSs.

I'm actually in the same boat as you re: keyboard/mouse. But, I've learned to really love my XBOX 360 controller on my PC. It's top notch in my estimation.

Now, I had to vote "not really" in the poll. Mainly, for this one reason: This ASUS P5N-E Sli board I'm using has some serious problems with the #1/#3 RAM slots. You cannot use those slots! Also, if I lower RAM cycle to 1T, it causes serious system problems and BSOD.

So, I'm going to be happier when I can get another motherboard. Otherwise, I really do like my PC.

I an not too happy about my computer. I read articles and asked questions om tomshardware`s forum and 3dgameman.com and I ended up buying the parts for a system figuring it would last untill the next socket changes in Intel and AMD. 3 months later I discovered I could not do crossfire because of my single peg slot. I am waiting for AMD to release their new socketed motherboard and thinking of trying them again. I am waiting to see how intel does with it`s try at the memoy controller built in the chip. I am really hoping AMD pulls out ahead like they did with the Athlon series. besides AMD has the true Quad core chip.
