I dont know where you guys get your info but every comparison i have ever seen, and done myself, has shown that amd is faster, amd dual core cpu's beat intel in every possible test, amd has always and will always be faster, better quality and better priced then intel, intel might as well be microsoft. |

#44 | | Loyal DAAMIT User | blindartist, i would like to add something.
the test you posted showed AMD's X2 versus the PENTIUM D, not the Core 2 series. Compare the core 2's with the X2's then it will be fair

#47 | | Loyal DAAMIT User | Whatever, I've had more problems with my AMD platforms than any other Intel systems i've EVER had.

Jeez I never thought I would end up defending Intel but I just hate blind fanboyism and Im sorry I dragged myself into this debate. I usually steer clear of these squabbles. |

I usually steer clear of these squabbles. | A good debate is always welcome and of course on the information you posted is correct as it has been mentioned a few times in this thread. AMD is the best bang for the buck but Intel has always held an edge in true performance. After the AMD acquisition of ATI products for both lines are running behind schedule and some disappointments on those that have been released.
AMD needs to pull there socks up in 2008 or polls like these won't be needed |
