i am in full agreement.
this seems like common sense to me but as you can see most folks are too selfish to think of it in these terms and can't see the wood for trees...

amd k8 is rock , totally beat p4 ... k9 isnt a big jump in processer performance but the sysetem like hyper transport make the real power of memory latency... now k10 with real quadcore not 2 head dualcore as intel's QX6600 6700 6800, by theory shorter curcuit = work faster

also next is universal processer or somthing that can work in various work like graphic , sound and may other calculations

nice to see smart people here on these boards, thought Intel and nvidia would win here but people really think things through here. I'm impressed

AMD 4ever!

When i changed my athlon xp 2600+ to pentium 4 530 i seen difference, really big difference. This p4 convert audio&video much slower and it's not so good to games like a2600+.

Next cpu which i will buy is 4sure AMD. CPU & GPU by AMD ;-)

i'l go for AMD, i haven't been dissapointed by them since 2000, and also i have seen a little difference in games , intel moves a litte bit slower ( i don't mean the core 2 duo or the new gen because i didn't had the chance to put my hands on one, but the previous versions )i just got a x2 3800+ and oc it to 4200 just temporarly because i inted to take it to 4600+ ( which can be easily be done) and i'm verry happy with it it's twice as fast as my old cpu 3000+ which i oc'd to 3500+ ( athlon 64 ) and of course all this on a skt AM2

Lol funny to read that all those AMD fan boys with there old AMD Cpu's will be going with AMD again when updating.
I used AMD from the early days until I switch from my Athlon XP 2100 to Core 2 Duo 6600.
And guess what I will never go back as long as Intel keeps producing revolutionary Cpu's like the one I got now.
No problem what so ever and rock solid overclocked high enough to be satisfied long past the moment the Q6600 has been taken out of bussiness !

So what..AMD may not be as fast as Intel atm but they still produce quality chips. Competition is good for all of us as it keeps prices low and development of newer chips would more than likely slow to a crawl if AMD went down the pan.
