Yeah - 4GB running Vista 64-bit. In fact, I kinda regret buying 2 x 2GB memory pair, because now I really can't run a 32-bit OS on that system. Oh well! I guess that also means that my 64-bit processor might also be used more effectively...

anything over 4gb will ultimately just be a waste of money and slow down your pc.

hmm I use a toatl of 4gb in dual channel mode and ppl who say 2gb is plenty have ya ever read Crysis's Memory load readouts?

i've sene it hit as hight as 2300 memory, i could be wrong in assuming it means Ram but to me its seems liek it is.

Seeing as vista uses 500mb of ram (for me) alone, and i tend to run alot of windows at once i figured 4 would be a nice balanced amount and a 4gb set is like 80 dollars on newegg >.>

4GB for $80? You're seriously lucky. I can barely get half decent 2GB for that price. I'm going to replace this ocz trash for a 2x2GB PC2-8500 kit of G.Skill or Corsair or Kingston.

Sometimes different brands are using the same memory chips but it's the binning, cooling and SPD that makes a world of difference.

as opposed to "how many Rams do you have?"..

People from Wales and New Zealand don't have to answer that question, but as you can see I have about 4096:
