LOL. If the real / full Direct X Games are comming, G80 & R600 are to old. Just try to play FarCry with Patch 1.3x (Full Direct X 9) in high Detail and FSAA & AF with a GeForce 5800 or Radeon 9500 (both are early DX9) based Graphicboard... |

#103 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | The point which everyone seems to missing is that this would make Midrange DX10 (from a gaming POV) obsolete. The don't have enough power for any decent DX10 and their DX9 performance trails the previous generation. It's recommended to just pay the extra to a 8800GTS and if you're paying less get the x1950pro. (That's with current gaming value in mind)

The only thing that deserves an upgrade in my PC is the CPU. Since i got this new GPU, i can feel and see that my computer is very CPU limited.

#106 | | Newbie | I have used both ATI and Nvidia cards and I prefer Nvidia. Since I'm not a "real gamer", stuff just has to look nice and run with decent fps. Lately that has been with Nvidia. I'm extremely pleased with my 7600GT.
