Both of my systems have Audigy 4 sound cards. And both have Logitech 2.1 speaker sets: one is the Z4 set and the other is the Z-2200 series (read: WAY!! to loud for my tiny apartment  ). | |

I got a set of plantronics gamecon headphones, pretty good sound, gaming and when listening to music.
Did have a set of surround sound speakers with a sub, but the other half threatened to bury them in the back yard if she heard another artillery strike in bf2.

I'm using Creative Audigy 2 ZS with Logitech Z_5500 Digital speakers. When wife and kids are home, i use a logitech internet chat headset for gaming. Speakers are awesome...
