Thumbs up ATI vs Nvidia.... Rv870 vs GT300.. Which one is yours..........?

We are nearing the release of ATI 5000 series and Nvidia is ready with GT300 to show demo

Wanted to know how many have plans of buying ATI & how many behind NVIDIA

And also how many are planing to wait to see the performance of GT300 before you decide

I will wait to see the performance this time [] i am keen on performance... so will wait

Currently known about Rv870 is as follows

* 1 GB GDDR5 memory
* ATI Eyefinity technology with support for up to three displays
* ATI Stream technology
* Designed for DirectCompute 5.0 and OpenCL
* Accelerated Video Transcoding (AVT)
* Compliant with DirectX 11 and earlier revisions
* Supports OpenGL 3.1
* ATI CrossFireX multi-GPU support for highly scalable performance6
* ATI Avivo HD video and display technology
* Dynamic power management with ATI PowerPlay technology
* DL-DVI, DL-DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI
* PCI Express 2.0 support

Currently known about Nvidia GT300 is as follows...

its logo is Green and its DX11 ............... and they will wait for ATI to release their spec so that they can work on something better. and will release it in 2Q 2010 and Say Nvidia "Bang for lots of Buck"

Microsoft should do something about DX11 and its API.. they should lock down AA handle to MSAA.. so the playground is even...

I too am Anti-Nvidia because of all the nonsence they have been pulling as of late. However I'm interested to see how both chips do against one another.

Something tells me that Nvidia is going to rush these parts to market as quickly as possible. I would not be surprised if you see errors, manufacturing defects and corners cut as a result...TheGT300 might not be the savior that Nvidia was hoping for if they don't take the time and do it right.

I think AMD/ATI learned their lesson after the Phenom errata mess.
