I'f that's the case, then why does'nt my qx9650 quad core outperform a dual core in Crysis?

because crysis wasnt coded to take advantage of 4 cores, hell, barely uses the second core on mine.

Ya crysis only uses duel core, its not designed to use quad. but anyway intel quad is a big duel core..

Bad for AMD users.. a real quad.. but no use... intel is smart........

Games should be optimized for all graphics cards not a specific brand........bad nvidia bad and not to forget crysis , shouldnt they have tried to get the game working on all hardware which in turn would have increased their sales ???

well during the development time, nvidia reigned supreme with 8800 g8x base chips like the 8800 ultra/gtx/gts. plus, TWIMTBP program is going on and since nvidia was THE card that a lot of people had, crytek decided to go with nvidia. and...most of it is marketing anyways. developers wouldnt put out a product if it "didnt work" for a certain type of market segment. crysis still works with radeons, just not as efficient. blame architecture.

lol i do not care about that... when the demo was out my gpu was too slow (as i had only an exchange till the new one arrived) and now i try to install the game and cant play - it simply wont start up (and finally i am not pissed - i just ignore the hardware-hungry beast, and go back play the games with more GAMEPLAY than graphics :P )
