Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment in the wildly popular Splinter Cell series. A stealth-action combat game centered around the continuing adventures of black ops agent Sam Fisher, Splinter Cell: Conviction continues where the storyline of the earlier Splinter Cell: Double Agent left off. Packed with a mix of an engaging story, classic Splinter Cell stealth action, unique co-op gameplay and new gameplay mechanisms that are applicable to both single player and multiplayer modes, it is a worthy addition Splinter Cell catalog of games.

A few years have passed since the cliff hanger conclusion of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent, in which Agent Sam Fisher undertook a particularly dirty mission, full of questionable actions, in the shadow of the inexplicable and unmourned death of his daughter. Fisher is now a renegade operative digging into the events of the past and he doesn't like what he has found. His personal investigation into his daughter's death reveals that he's been betrayed by his former agency, the Third Echelon. The agency responds by pursuing him, but as he works to elude them he becomes aware of a deadly terrorist plot that threatens millions.

MMmm that does look annoying. Maybe ubisoft think's most gamers are retards and that they cannot figure out how to do very simple tasks like move to cover When they are being shot at or need to hide.. So they have to make a billboard pop up on the screen so that the gamer can see that he can take cover be hide the object.

I'm a big Splinter Cell fan. I played every game. This one I played on my friend's Xbox 360. I ain't buying any Ubisoft game for PC until they get rid of that DRM. The game isn't bad. It's not as good as previous SC games, but it's better then current gen version of Double Agent. I guess they had to change the gameplay. It's been 4 almost identical titles. I like the game. I don't consider it to e a real Splinter Cell game though. It's something new, different, but it's not a bad thing either. Stealth is still there, but they made pistols have unlimited ammo which sucks. You can totally try to play the game without weapons if you like. I enjoy execution animations so I tried to be as stealthier as possible.

Being a big Ubisoft hater these days I'm bitching about the lousy performance of the PC version on their forums and I don't even own the game
