Race Driver GRID Screenshots
Posted by Chaos on November 22nd, 2008, 04:23 PM

It's about international racing from Europe to Asia! GRID is an all-new race experience, taking players on a world tour of intricately designed racetracks and courses through Europe, the US and Japan. In addition to the exciting, ready-to-race gameplay that gamers have come to expect from Codemasters' racing titles, GRID incorporates only the most powerful racecars ever created - new and classic, circuit and drift.

im thinking of getting a 4870 soon

the 4870 is a great card but go for one with aftermarket cooling because the stock cooler is loud

How is the Toxic's aftermarket cooler in terms of noise? I remember reading a review that found it just as noisy as the stock cooler.

it is not much better noise wise especially with a fixed fan speed over 40% but cools well enough that you dont need to enable manual fan control

ahh, i see.

well i have the EL DIABLO case

360mm fan in the side panel and lemme tell you, ITS LOUD!

so im sure the stock fan wont bee too harsh

you know you can control the fan speed of the fans in El Diablo. I have that case at work and it's not bad at all

yeah, but im pretty sure its just mine,

one day i took it in to a local shop around here in san diego and when i got it back its fans were just fucked... (by 'fucked' i mean noisy as hell)

i would have done something but it just didnt seem worth the trouble.

take a look at the small circuit board that the fans connect too on the inside of the case.

i thought this was impossible, but...

Oh well, for cooling, you can go for the ghetto option like what I did here:

I recommend putting a fan over the VRAMs to cool it as you lose the stock fan over that area when you do this mod. I get low temps but I have moved on to a different setup.

Anyway GRID looks great, has anyone tried the differences between stock and Saikamaldoss' tweaked XML files?
