That's because lower latencies will give give you a bigger performance increase than speed.

Lol well With AMD you can have higher latency because the memory controler are in the cpu That's nice :P

On the contrary, Intel CPUs are more bandwidth hungry so higher speeds will make more of a difference on an Intel system.
