I have no preferences over both Ati and Nvidia. Im just wondering which setup will provide more power, image quality etc.

Yes, I know Quad SLI provides more power etc, but Quad sli isn't really needed for most games right now. I have heard that CF provides better image quality compared to SLI.

in future you will need quad sli so go with Nvidia

the X6800 and the 7950GX2 are my choice.

I like AMD, but the Core 2 architecture kicks any current AMD cpu

i just like Nvidia cards better than ATI

i would get the 8800GTX if i had the money.

Of course, even the benchmarks show that the Intel Core 2 Architechture is way better than anything that amd has done to date. Since I have always had an Intel/ATi combo, i've always been an Intel fan.

By far the Intel X6800 will give you better performance and you will be a able to upgrade to the quad core chip when their price drops. AMD's quad core chip will most likely require a motherboard upgrade.
