statisticli conroe is looking great
but i dont trust it
i never seen a temps of conroe where are they?how high is going?
(dont wonth to buy something that can burn my mbo like amd tunderbird hehehehehe)

I think the Conroe is looking really quite promising. If I had the cash right this minute, I'd be pre-ordering, but alas, I'll be having to save for at least a few months, and hope the MD situation has settled out by then...

intel's got a winner with the Conroe chip and they take back the CPU crown after a long climb to get to it.

I haven't seen many reviews with temperature data myself.

I found one on the E6700...It hit 41C loaded with a stock cooler and idled at about 32C.

there are tons or reviews... the temp of the CPU under stress is low
a lot cooler than PentiumD


I can't find a mobo and CPU right now, maybe in 2 weeks

It looks good, and is what Intel needs just to stay afloat. Many are claiming this is Intels leap ahead of AMD, but considering their Financial reports this may just keep them on a level playing field with AMD.

im getting the Core™2 Extreme 6800 i have the Asus P5w DH deluxe
