What can you say, Conroe was designed by us Israeli intel pioneers, so.. I guess there's alot to expect ;-P~

BTW REGEN, more memory bandwidth can benefit your gfx results (and ddr2 provides almost double the bandwidth ddr1 offers)

AMD was always intil rrecnt year the underdog of the Chip industry and in terms of size intel is capable of buying AMD and still have money .
Intel new CPU looks great on the current benchmarks but until the new AMD cpu are intruduced and tested we cannot honestly say this are the scores.
beside that new INTEL & AMD cpu will probably cost too much at start

The Conroe benches look great but then again Intel ran the benches and can right whatever they want to.

I am not an intel hater but i can't agree with you more Regeneration !
That said i am also not a strong believer in AM2 either...

Let the 2 firms fight it out & decide 4 your hardware purchase in about 1,5 year from now...
It sure saves some consumer disapointments, following THAT tactic !

Conroe perfrormance is not a rumor. Its architecture has ben revealed in details and it is more than impressive. I hope that it is not a problem if I post a link from another forum, mods%admins feel free to delete.
It is a good collection of Conroe data, http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardw...054935#1054935
