For people with a Asrock 939 Dual SATA2 you are going to be happy !
As some of you know Asrock has future proofed its product for the new AM2 processor.
It will also sport 4 ports for DDR2.
Here are some pictures of this infamous daughter board that will support it.

On these pictures the daughter board is used on a 939SLI2-eSATA2.
But the 939 Dual SATA2 is the same.
This board will work on both.

Available as of now !
On the asrock website.

And what if you have a big heatsink/fan for the CPU?

I guess you are screwed
No really I do not know.
The CPU will be pointing upwards but I guess it will be like any other mother boards.
Sometimes it will fit and sometimes it wont.
Mostly likely wont with this thing but then again if you are a crazy overclocker then you probably dont have this board
And if it does fit I wonder if the card can hold the weight?

if you are really into OC then you can get a water cooling system and then no problem fitting it in the riser board.
otherwise you can use smaller HS .

wat port is that on? that would surely bottleneck the system, I mean an AM2 CPU and DDR2 coming thru that thing. the DDR2 is at least 6.4 GB/s and im not sure about that CPU. for you upgraders that want to upgrade now but afraid of AM2 this ur board.

it's a nice innovation but I don' t think there's much practical use for it considering hte price it's charging.

Nice use of technology and quite an achievement to give the consumer the best of both worlds, but not really practical, as the add-on takes up way too much space to be of any use... and it's high price point doesn't help matters either. Kudos to ASROCK, but I'll pass on this

Neat idea but a waste of money as you have to buy the board and then the adapter and the amount you pay you could get a DFI board. I wonder if it supports DDR2-800? If not another reason it is a waste of $. Also I don't see it on ASRock's website. Since this is an low end entry level board WC'ing would be a waste.

Rarely design, it's similar to Ecs, who launched an hybrid mother, (Amd and intel).. but the design was bad.. but if you has in amd mode was imposible to make sli, because the board was between the 2 pcie
