#1 | | Golden Member | | M/B: GA-X48-DS5 + Asus P5E | | | PSU: OCZ 700W + HIPER 580W | | intel 64 bit and dual core i have buyed Mbo for intel 775 64 bit and dual core and dual grafics agp8x +pci 16x.
and my question is witch cpu to buy ? regular cpu on 64 bit or wait to save more money for dual core cpu.
is intel 64 good and woth about dual core???
need help to decide

Intel is NOT that good with regards to Dual core. The 800 series cpu's honestly STINK. The 900 series is the way to go, if you go with intel.
PS: do you not read reviews on other forums about hardware? | |

dual core cpu require a 945, 955 or 975 chipset; some mobos with 865 chipsets are also known to work with dual core cpu
I have a PeniumD 820 2.8ghz and is a "blast"; i encode a movie to divx in 20 minutes or less (full image and sound processing); saing that this cpu's are bad is absolutely wrong! |

its suporting it

it is good.
have tested oc on +25% of cpu speed (2667 to ~3334)
and mbo its good(no crashis for now) |

They stink compared to AMDs dual core, rediculus power consumption, only decent thing it has going for itself is encoding. | |
