lol Pentium D is aweful bad my sis comp has one and is not that speedy beast you guys might think, but well is your many you can go and waste it in whatever you want.

I dont "like" AMD, "that much" and I dont "like" Intel, either.
I have no prefrence, just cold hard, first hand experience. I currently have a Prescott and a 4000+, the 4000+ is the better of the 2.

what prescott do you have to compare-it with the a64 4000+?

3.2 prescott. Needs to run at 4 gigs to match my 4000+

its not all in cpu.
if cpu is fast and mbo slow cpu will be slow.
download everest 2006 and test the cpu with it.

You all know i just landed here on this forum and i could not help noticing the AMD vs Intel here.
