I see that the AMD Athlon 64 Quad FX processors are out now. They must be installed in pairs though.
The ASUS L1N64-SLI Nforce 680A Dual Socket F Motherboard is also out.
I wonder how these compare to the Intel Kentsfield Quad cores?
$499 canadian ea for the FX72's and $399 for the ASUS L1N64-SLI motherboard.

I'll stick with Intel, but if I was to buy an AMD system, I would go with socket AM2.

939 ujtil the technology is too archaic or the AM2 is less cost prohibitive
