#2 | | Site Staff | You cant unlock the Barton core. In some versions you can only reduce the CPU Multiplir. Try to increase the FSB for overclocking. |

older core can go to 11 x 210 Amd 2500+ overcloked to 2008mhz(2600+)max

I had my old AthlonXP Barton 2500+ running at 10x200 (AthlonXP Barton 3000+ speeds) and even at 11x200 (AthlonXP Barton 3200+ speeds).. That was also using stock cooling and stock voltages but it was a little bit hot at 3200+ speeds.. I put a different cooler on the CPU with some Arctic Silver V cooling compound and it ran fine for months (then I brought it to stock and sold it)..
EDIT: This was all done an an ASUS A7N8X motherboard.

i have unlocked old Tunderbird and rest of old Athlon XP but not the Barton
i still have a old tunderbird on 1.3 and celeron tualatin(duble core)
