Well what can I say.. this discussions repeat over and over..
Intel really sc*ewed up it's Prescott series of processors.
They are really slower then AMD64 processors, more expensive and produce a LARGE amount of heat!
But I don't want to bother people with it over and over again..
I have Zalman 7000Cu cooler and it really rocks (with near silent work)
If you are looking for a good Prescott cooler, take a look at this article:
Budget Coolers For LGA775 Platform

Coolermaster and glacialtech are a way to get.. unlease you have money to buy more expensive zalman's or arctic cooling

If you have socket 478 like me, I'd highly recommend this fan to you:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118112

Took me about 10 minutes to install, works like a charm. A LOT quieter than my stock fan, even when it is in normal mode.

I have a Northwood by the way, Was running at 38 Celsius with the stock fan idle and 54 Celsius Underload.

Now it's 31/46 tops at 3.34 ghz, and like I said it's a lot quieter. Went from 2.8 Ghz by the way.
