well i got 2400 and i rtry o/c it on
my mobo can anyone helpo me ?
i got ga-7vxp mobo k7
i got fsb clock
10-18x200
plz help me

and i got good fan
5400 rpm
Asus cooling
big one

The most important rules is to overclock slowly !!! You can up your FSB clock 5 by 5 Mhz !! Test with Prime 95 !

My old Athlon XP 2400+ doesn't overclock very well at all (T-bred, not Barton mobile.. those will!). I think I managed 300MHz more, but I also needed 0.2v more to gain that (1.85v)

Oh and I don't bother with Prime95 anymore. Takes way too long to fail. Try OCCT... far better! http://www.ocbase.com/OpenBeta/OCCTv0.91.exe

Don't hope to get too high with that GA-7VRXP or VAXP..

They don't have lockable AGP/PCI frequencies, so your video board or some pci card may stop you before your cpu or ram does..

what core?
cuz i haver a 2800+ barton at 2198mhz 176x12.5 with ceramique and it idles at 40c and load at 44c
also if i can up the clock on my fsb does that mean I have unlocked core, and change the mutiplier???

AFAIK, 2400+s only had Tbred cores. Bartons start from 2500+

Bartons start at 2500 and were originally only in 2500 2800 3000 and 3200 specs

2600 and 2700 were released a bit after the initial release to fill the barton gaps
