There are two sockets for the AMD 64 Processor.

939 – Dual Channel CPU Cache
753 – Single Channel CPU Cache

The 939 is better.

My friend told me that the S-753 is better in this version of Processor .

He said that the GHZ of the 753 is higher , is that true?

It AMD Athlon XP and use Socket A only. By the way, socket 939 and 753 is for AMD 64-bit processor.

Sorry man . I think he said AMD 3000 XP.

939 is better than 753 and you still can upgrade your processer with it (753 is dying)

I'll tell you why ur friend thinks 753 is better.
the 64bit 754socket runs on higher Hz. like 939 3GHz runs on 1.8GHz.. while the 753 runs at 2+ or something.
but look at the bw system:
HyperTransport bandwidth: up to 6.4 GB/s (753)
HyperTransport: up to 8.0 GB/s (939)

Memory bandwidth: up to 3.2 GB/s (753)
Memory bandwidth: up to 6.4 GB/s (939)

Total: up to 9.6 GB/s (753)
Total: up to 14.4 GB/s (939)

The numbers speaks for them selves..

Nice post smiter! So leopard you know can see different between. Look like 939 is faster than 753 anyway.
