The 939 socket works faster, but the Hz is slower.. anyway the 939 is the new generation, so if you'r planning to get a new cpu, get this one. also search for some reviews of it, they looked up over it more closely so you can see every small different between those 2 sockets.

i have question about the AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Winchester 92 Nm
its a good proccesor? what the 92 nm mean and will i fill it between the 3500+ regular?? :huh:

Actually it 90 nanometer. It the size of transistor they use to make processor. It good because it in use socket 939

i agree with everyone, go with 939, they already quit making faster 754 pin A64's, they stopped at 3700+, 939 supports dual channel memory, 754 only single channel, higher bandwidth as posted before, from what i hear the 90nm overclocks a bit better than the 130nm chips and seems to run just slightly cooler.

definitely go 939

the 64 3000 754 is said to be faster (marginaly)
However i would go for the 939 as there are better upgrading possibilities
