Default Intel Pentium 4 670 3.8 GHz Box 2 MB LGA 775

Hello

I want this cpu in my pc "Intel Pentium 4 670 3.8 GHz Box 2 MB LGA 775"

How can i see if my pc (motherboard) supports it ?

these are the specs needed i think :

My pc

Pentium 4 640 (P) HT 3,2 GHz:
800-MHz front-side bus
Socket 775
Chipset
Intel 915P

Asus
motherboard: PTGD-LA
motherboard HP: Puffer2-UL8E

1 GB (2 x 512)
PC2-3200 MB/sec
Type
240-pins, DDR2 SDRAM

(Hewlett-Packard pc name = w5080.be)

its a bit tweaked new PSU and GPU , fans , overclocked,...

I wanna now for sure witch cpu's i can use , plz help me

Your motherboard has socket 775 then that CPU should fit in.

Google Everst@home edition and install it that will tell you everything you have, but like regen said you have socket 775 already so yes that socket 775 will fit that motherboard

intel 915x chipsets doesn't support PentiumD processors, pentium 5xx and 6xx are ok

So intel doesent make in the future faster cpu's then this one ( Intel Pentium 4 670 3.8 GHz Box 2 MB LGA 775) for my system?

amd are faster.. and the 670 model of intel p4 cpus have the evil DRM technology...

Technicaly, the Intel CPU's are faster
AMD ratings "shadow" the real CPU frequency
