CPU: Phenom II x3 720 @ 3.4

M/B: MSI 790FX-GD70
RAM: OCZ DDR3 4gb
PSU: OCZ 700w
Default Which future cpu's will remain AM3?

Alright so this is a pretty big consideration when for building my new system, if AMD is just going to scrap AM3 after daneb then its a wate of money, so does anyone know which future amd cpu's will still be am3?

I know bulldozer is most likely not going to be am3 but what about orochi, is amd going to continue its backward compatability with am3 or is daneb all that am3 gets?

well AMD has carried the socket since 2006, AM3 is just AM2 with DDR3 and a higher HT, pin constraints will appear eventually, and you will have to replace it, but considering the life span of a CPU these days, I wouldnt worry about it.
