Unixlord, I personally remember being impressed when I first saw that MSI board. And I do like the EFI, though I suspect it may have some security issues. I also like the idea of an advanced CPU identification facility in the BIOS. What I can't get too excited about is the Core i7. It has too many power saving features, and I am still pissed with Intel over my last motherboard with one of their chipsets. Where no matter what I did in BIOS, the frickin board would undervolt my memory to 1.75v (This was an Asus P5E - so I'm talking about the X38 chipset...). To my knowledge all chipsets from Intel do the same thing. So with the Core i7 now having it's memory controller "on-board" I know it will do the same thing. I also know that Intel does not like people overclocking their stuff. They never have!
I'm hoping AM3 will be joined by an improved south-bridge. Then I'll migrate back to AMD, and accept the "performance deficit" of the Phenom IIs.

Which I'll Overclock and pair with some 4850s in Crossfire. I realize that everyone loves the adage of "you get what you pay for...", but sometimes you don't.
(Rant OFF!)
