Compatability Check

I have an Intel G915GRO motherboard, but cant seem to find it on their website, and i'm positive that is the name. In any case it is obviously a i915 chipset and it has a LGA 775 Socket for the CPU. I'm currently running a 3.0Ghz Pentium 4 and was thinking of upgrading to a 3.8Ghz Pentium 4, and just wanted to ensure that it will be compatible.

915's don't support 65nm so be sure it's an older CPU.

Unless you already have the 3.8ghz CPU in hand, don't do it. Buy a good aftermarket cooler (although that's necessary with all prescotts, i know, been there done that) and overclock.
