#25 | | Dedicated Member | | PSU: Pcpowerandcooling 750. | | I had a Amd opteron 180 oc it to 2.9GHz it was my first amd cpu and I really like it. It ran games and multitasks very well but then my asus a8n sli deluxe died on me. Now my opteron is setting in it's box I might try selling it on ebay. Before that I have a P4 oc to 4.Ghz and now my i7 920 which i love. The only thing I did now like about the opteron was when I oc it would not my Ram at ddr 400Mhz I had to set at 320 somthing to make it stable. I also had to set Hypertransport Bus to 1000Mhz. |

#26 | | Newbie | Intel seems to clock better, at least for me. You can usually buy a lower CPU for price matching to an AMD and OC it up past the AMD's performance. I used to support AMD as well when they were the underdog and leading in performance. I am not mostly intel for stability and convenience. If you have a little extra money go intel, if you want to be tight on budget AMD will most likely fit your needs practically just as well. |

#27 | | Newbie | | CPU: Phenom X3 710 @ 3.6ghz | | | RAM: 2x2GB+2x1GB DDR800 OCZ | | I never had an Intel... every time that i considered to buy a Intel CPU, i always find a better AMD combo to buy for the price. |

#28 | | Newbie | I usually buy Intel when it is for myself. Many benchmarks prove that Intel is faster when competing against equal CPUs. AMD isn't bad, though. I've used a lot of them and they work fine. |
