Hardspell.com has some initial benchmark numbers on AMD's upcoming 45nm quadcore codenamed Deneb. The processor they used was an AMD engineering sample with a default clock of 2.3GHz which they (without posting validation) overclocked to 3.2GHz. The numbers seem to match realistic projections of a 10% performance increase vs Agena (65nm Phenom) partly due to the 6MB L3 cache. Power usage is more impressive with a 18% reduction of idle consumption and (if these numbers are to be trusted) a whopping 45% reduction of load power consumption.
