hmmm q9650 and q9550 are 2-5% faster from q9450 and price is much higher
what is a point of buying cpu that is almost same as this one ?

if your mobo cant run over 1800 fsb and with your cpu temp is low you can oc more by changing the multiplier so if you have

1- q9450 max multiplier=8 than 1800fsp = 450*8= 3.6
2- if you have QX9650 then you can chose *11.5 or even 12 so 1800fsb = 450*11.5=5.175
or 450*10 = 4.500

Personally, my next upgrade will be a Q9450. My current motherboard will allow me to overclock in nicely... And I see little value in the higher binned CPUs.

well that is quad extreme and you are comparing cpu worth of 1000$ with a cpu of 200-300$ how nice
quad extreme is a WASTE of money trust me
there is no point of buying it
only rich kids can get it and it is still WASTE of money maybe because even dual core can beat quad performance
maybe you are dude that is working on extreme graphics MAYBE
and you need a quad extreme
but in games even new 8200 can beat a quad core performance (have it and i know wth i am talking about)

first we have talked about other core
ant that other core is wolfdale so if you wanna show me something
show with true cores (wolfdale cores)

p.s. as you see even on stock speed two cores are better in games
