On your dad and the Mobo sorry Bro

On this board it depends if you are planning on using SLI in the future the other board has better support for it. This one only has a single PCIE x 16 slot. But Gigabyte makes good stuff

Cool on the mobo and memory

On the setting check your BIOS and see if its set to "AUTO" it might be forcing it to 667. Do you have the exact part number for the RAM ?

That should be fine at 800Mhz. In your chipset settings you may have to change your memory from AUTO to MANUAL to have access the the DDR speed. I have it on this cheap ASrock board it should be on yours ... will check back later see how you made out
