Does anyone know or have any information on this development that they would like to share? Its something that looks so cool & i'm really excited about but i don't know much about it and would like to know more, like when is this supposed to be released?... Is it going to be easily upgradeable for those of us who have socket AM2 sytems already? And how much are they expected to cost?

According to asus: The M2N-Sli Deluxe will be among the first motherboards to support AM2+ CPUs. All you need is a simple bios update from the Asus website. You could also upgrade to the next generation motherboards but I haven't seen any nforce(sli) AM2+ yet.

What is NDA Reg? Cool Unix, but am I going to have to re-mortgage my house in order to even think of buying one? and what is the difference between AM2 & AM2+ anyway?? And also what are people's views on their performance compared to Intel??

Non disclosure agreement. Speaks for itself really.
With a rig like yours upgrading would be pointless. You'll have to wait for some SLI ready AM2+ motherboards. Then you can just easily transfer everything to the new motherboard and maybe get a processor upgrade (Can't see why you'd want one).

So you're saying i won't be able to just rip out my old Athlon and simply plug in a new Phenom cpu when the time comes? (bummer, that's really what i eventually wanted to be able to do)

Actually you can. Asus is soon to release a bios update for both our motherboards (and a few more) that will enable us to use a phenom. I'm just saying it's not worth it yet.
