CPU: Intel E8200 (stock)
GPU: Radeon HD 4870 1024 MB
M/B: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3
RAM: 1GBx2 Corsair XMS2
PSU: RX-630 Volcano
Default c1e

Since I got my first CPU (Pentium 4 Hyper Threading) a few year ago, I always saw this c1e option in my BIOS. So, what is this c1e? Does it effect CPU performance if I disable it?

C1E is part of SpeedStep (Like AMD's Cool and Quiet). Disable for the best performance, and enable for power saving.

If you're using ASUS Maximus Extreme, also make sure to update to the latest BIOS and make sure to disable USB legacy support to avoid DDR2 issues.

Ok, I'll do that. By the way, thank again for the extra info.

That's the thing with all Asus motherboards I've worked on. You always have to fiddle with them to get what you want.
