i'd like to ask you something: how many of you heard of Darphour?
how many of you know about the war in Congo?
does any one here know how many poeple died in the Russia-Chechnia conflict?
or in the Pakistan - India conflict?
someone heard lately about the civil wars that go on in the far east (Napal, thailand)?

why the f**k, every time i turn the news on or check the news on the net there must be something about israel there?

WHY THE HELL SHOULD I GIVE A DAMN?

are the only things interesting on earth are israel and Bush's latest comic mistake?

Do what I did. Stop watching the news. Just hearing the news doesn't mean you're doing anything to help and neither does constantly discussing it. Just watch me:

I thought of replying to you on this issue because I find Israel a very important place and people , at least to myself... So here it goes....

It is hard for me to explain really why I support/am behind Israel ..... Maybe it is because of my support for Jewish people - after hearing (the little that I have read/heard) all the hate*, persecution and scapegoating they have endured throughout the ages.... If you haven't read my posts before- Maybe, also, it is that I still believe there is a G-d in this world - ultimately- in control of everything - even though it seems to the contrary.... But one thing I hope, and pray to G-d is that I always have a special place for Israel and the Jewish people in me .....

About hearing Israel in the news - I sort of agree with you that there has been a lot of press of Israel in the news... Why? I really do not know.... I tend to think, they (mainstream media) report about Israel because to (at least here in the US) push/support some sort of political agenda.... Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the press pretty much biased *against Israel ?
If so that is very saddening... I say this because I really haven't turned on fox news or cnn or anything like that on TV in a long while - why? -it is so skewed and I don’t like their reporting..... Sometimes I think it comes out of the state department, if you know what I mean.....

As to why one should care about Israel? It is hard for me to say/explain why - maybe it is because (it is my belief) - the way the world treats Israel, is the way the world goes - sadly to say.... Or maybe it is because the only democracy in the Middle east? (I think it is, correct me if I am wrong...).... If you asked me, personally, why one should care about Israel- I would say the following:

Because Israel is G-d's Nation, People - And I would hearken back to what the Torah would say about Israel/ The Jewish people ( Genesis 12:2-3 )

Anyway, I hope this helps ... I just thought of sharing you my thoughts on/about why we should care about Israel...
