the Israelis elected a party without political guide lines and the new Prime Minister won by simply refusing to confront any of his opponants or discussing his intentions, and declared he gonna give away as much lands to the Hamas (the palestinian authority) with no demands or guarantees they wouldn't attack Israel the day after.

more over, they gave 7 seats (out of 120) to pensioners party with no idea what so ever of the elders problems and without any political guidelines.

that's an overall of 36 seats out of 120 (30%) that goes to parties that simply didn't tell the public what on earth they intend to to during the time they'll serve in the parlament.


am I the only one thinking this is a REALLY stupid thing?

I've voted for someone else. It's sad to say but you're right about it. That guy never said anything about his plans in the media. They all voted for him because of Ariel Sharon.

Thats exactly why everyone choose him. Being the second in his party to Ariel Sharon he naturally became his continuer. Or at least thats the general assessment of everyone...(As you said about not discussing his intentions, no one knows...).
About the pensioners, the reason why so many voted for them was because that many people got tired of the endless amount of corruption in our goverments, and decided to vote for the pensioners as a protestation.
And yes I agree about Israelis stupid :P

Israel or the middle east of you like, is a topic in the news here daily. If it isn't a suicide
bomber then its politics or corruption, and of course the Norwegian politicians have a
strange attraction to wards Israeli and Palestinian politics, yeah I'm sure you remember
the "Oslo agreement" not worth the paper it was written on and a waste of time.
