#25 | | Site Staff | Finally today I had a chance to see that movie and I must say that this is one of the best movies ever made. I really liked the fighting scenes and the cool blood effects, even much more then the Matrix. I think the producers have done great work on this movie.
Personally, I don’t care much about the way they showed Persians, It was obvious they will show them in this perspective because they made the Greeks as heroes, and it’s very likely they will show the story from their perspective. I doubt anyone will even think about its Historical matter; I also bet many people think it is just an imaginary movie script. Do you really expect them to view the hero as a 'bad guy'? Of course not. Almost every producer is changing the truth with something more interesting and lovely for the viewer.
The Persian side is truly unrealistic and there were some ‘Doom 3' monsters in this movie as well. However, I don’t care about the historical part because it is just a movie and I doubt it will change any Persian image. It just a movie after all, and a good one. I think you should care more about the current political issue and real-life matters, then just a movie.
For example: The British soldiers’ story and all these Hitler style threats are way more important then just some stupid movie. Not everyone is going to see this movie or care about the story, but many people are listening to the news and being affected from the news more then just some another classic war movie. The current real-life events have more influence then any Hollywood movie.
Unixlord, you should chill out with this matter. It is just a movie and nobody cares if Persians are being displayed badly. So this time its Persians, tomorrow it will be Greeks or Swedish. Yes, there are many retards that believe to these movies, but you shouldn’t care about them anyway! They believe in dumb stuff anyway (even in Doom 3 monsters aiding Persians).
What we (viewers and producers) all care about is if this movie is fun to see. We don’t care who’s the bad guy, and who is the good guy or the story (**** them all), we just want to a good movie. It is a bloody comic after all, and the producers had to change some of the storyline to make it a good movie, they don't care about history, they care about ratings and they designed their movie to be good-selling one; and they never cliamed that this movie is based on real events, or something like that. However, maybe they should clear it up for the retards by adding a line or two to the end of the movie.

"In Parthian times (248 BCE – 224 CE), Aryanam was modified to Aryan. In the early Sassanid Period (224–651 CE), it had already evolved to Middle Persian Ērān or Ērān Shahr which finally resulted in New Persian Iran or Iran Shahr. [8] At the time of the Achaemenian empire, the Greeks called the country Persis, the Greek name for Pars (Fars), the central region where the empire was founded; this passed into Latin and became Persia, the name widely used in Western countries which causes confusion as Persia is actually Pars (Fars) province. [9][4][10] On 21 March 1935, Reza Shah Pahlavi issued a decree asking foreign delegates to use the term Iran in formal correspondence in accordance with the fact that "Persia" was a term used for a country called "Iran" in Persian. (see Iran naming dispute). The 1979 Revolution led to the current name Islamic Republic of Iran, but the nouns Persia and Iran, and the adjective Persian are still used."
When you said 'Paras', is the same thing as that "Pars" mentioned above?
