Sigmatel sound card driver x64

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum,

I hope someone can help me out with my problem, I recently upgraded to WINXP X64 I managed to find the drivers for all devices... EXCEPT for the sigmatel sound card.
I hope someone can help me out with this problem of mine

The device stamp is VEN_8384 DEV_7690 REV_1022 SUBSYS_107B0317

its a sigmatel (STAC9200) sound card on a gateway(MX3412) laptop...

I've been trying to mod some of the drivers from Dell, as they provide drivers for x64 unlike Gateway!!

But still no success, as none of them have the same device stamp for my sound card that I gave above...

First off welcome too NGOHQ xlogic78

Unfortunately I don't have any quick answers for you did some searches and found solutions for that device stamp and Gateway for Win Pro only. Will keep looking around but this is the second time I have seen lack of support for WinXP X64 on certain hardware ... last was a Creative card .....

Thank you Mac Daddy for the reply, anyways I solved my problem bout 6 days ago, I had to mod a driver from intel, just added the configuration file for my device from the 32bit driver provided by gateway....

Now its working perfectly...

anyways I've attached the driver to my reply... hopefully it might help others with similar problems, I think it could also be useful for other sigmatel sound cards used in gateway notebooks, maybe some additional modding might be required...

Anyways, its working perfect with my device stamp...

Glad you got it sorted Bro and I kinda figured you would have to Mod something to make it work for your system. As I mentioned I have been seeing a lot of this "non" support for X64 and Vista and hopefully that will change in the New Year for people like you who use this(these) OS's

Hi all,

new here and having the same issues most people is having when downgrading to xp pro (x64 in my case).

Can't seem to find the IDT driver for a 92xxM8 for the audio card on a HP dv7. I'd appreciate if anyone can indicate how to mod the driver provided by the OEM.

Dear friend this is CArol, I am here to beg for your help. I am in the same situation you were. I have a gateway 6860fx gaming laptop and i installed Xp x64 on it, got evertything working with modded drivers at the internet, gpu etc but can not make sound work. It is IDT Sigmatel too. i have been searching a lot at the internet for one modded sound driver to make the sound work and nothing. Please help your poor friend with you knowledge make me a modded sound driver to get idt sound working at my gateway 6860fx gaming laptop. The gaming speed is too diferent comparing xp x64 to vista x64. It is at about 20 fps faster in devil may cry 4 for example. windows xp x64 is the best for my gaming experience machine, i olny need idt high def audio to work in xp x64. So please please please and please make me a modded driver, I cant search anymore, tired tired of searching and not find anithing. help me!!!!

Those looking for Sigmatel drivers for XP and Vista, both 32 and 64 bit, I found this site with a download link. It's not guaranteed, but so far is the only one that shows promise.
